“International usage” occurs any time your Starlink is used outside your service region. Usage anywhere inside your service region is unlimited and does not count as international use.
Business plans include 30 days of international use at a time per service line. Global Business plans have no international travel limit.
Key Details
- Your home country is the country where your Starlink account is registered.
- The United States and Canada (and their associated territories) are one region.
- Select European countries and territories form another region.
- Each service line is tracked separately.
- International usage and in-motion use may be unavailable in select markets due to local regulatory restrictions.
- Log in to your Enterprise account to view the current list of regions and the status of each terminal.
What happens when a terminal reaches the international use limit?
After the allowed period, service on that terminal is disabled in the restricted location. Billing continues until you cancel the service line.
If your organization requires longer international use, upgrade the affected service lines to Global Business.
How to transfer service to a new country
- Log in to your Starlink account.
- Go to the “Subscriptions” tab and select your active subscription.
- Under the” Service Plan” box, click “Manage,” then select “Cancel Service.”
- Go to the “Devices” section, find your Starlink, and take note of your Starlink Identifier Number.
- Note: We recommend writing down your Starlink Identifier and also taking a screenshot so you do not lose it. You will need this to activate in your new country.
- Once you saved your Starlink Identifier Number, click “Transfer.” Confirm the conditions to remove it from your account.
- Once transferred, the Starlink kit is no longer associated with your old account.
- Visit starlink.com/setup and use a new email address to create your new account.
- Enter your Starlink identifier when prompted.
- Select “New Account,” enter your new service address in the country you’re moving to, and pick a service plan.
- Complete billing details and click “Place Order” to activate service in your new location.
Transfer Restrictions:
- Transfers are not allowed until 120 days after purchase or 90 days after activation—whichever comes first.
- Service must remain active for 90 days from activation.
- Transfers are not allowed if the account has an outstanding balance
